Standard capacities

  • Prefabricated : 50,75 and 100 KLD (modular for other capacities)
  • On-site fabrication : 10 to 5000 KLD

Thermax has supplied BioCask which is the most efficient state-of- art technology for domestic wastewater treatment. The innovative design of the BioCask has overcome all the limitations of conventional wastewater treatment systems. The BioCask uses a first-of-its-kind unidirectional fluidization pattern that makes efficient use of oxygen that is required for biological degradation of organic impurities. The novel design of the aeration system in the BioCask also reduces the operating cost of the treatment.

Salient Features

  • Perfect for basement installation, requires height < 3.0 m
  • Reduced operating costs, due to higher oxygen transfer efficiency
  • Minimal civil work required
  • Achieving BOD < 5 ppm without ultrafiltration

Options Available

  • BioCask Mini: 10 KLD and above
  • BioCask: 50, 100, 150, 200, 250 and 300 KLD (modular unit for higher capacities)

SeqtreaT is the most advanced Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) technology by Thermax for Waste water treatment, especially for domestic waste water.

Accomplishes equalization, aeration and clarification in a timed sequence batch mode - all in a single reactor basin.

Also, the cycle time of treatment of batches can be optimized to suit variation in loads.

Aerobic phase and controlled anaerobic phase are used to reduce organics, nitrogen and phosphorus compounds.

Salient Features

Terminator is an established technology, which removes colour from wastewater generated in textile processing and printing house to produce clear water. The treated wastewater could be reused and recycled further.

Salient Features

  • Lower footprint
  • Removes 100% colour
  • Minimal civil work (only foundation)
  • Standardised, hence faster delivery and installation
  • Lower capex and power requirement
  • Designed especially for textile industries

Standard Capacities

  • 0-1.5, 1.6-2.5, 2.6-5.0, 5.0-10, 10-15, 15-20, 20-25, 25-30, 31-42 m3/hr

Thermax offer a wide range of filtration systems standardised on the basis of specific velocities for each type of filter. Filters are available with single 5-way valve operation & multiple valve operation depending on the flow rate & the application. Filters are available in MS (painted), FRP & HDPE construction.

Dual Media Filter consists of Sand and Anthracite as a filtering medium. Anthracite has a higher dirt-holding capacity and hence it can be operated at higher velocities. DMF can be used to filter out turbidity in the raw water from 50 to 100NTU.

Activated Carbon Filter is used for removal of Free Residual Chlorine, Colour, Odour and Oil in fewer quantities. Activated Charcoal is used as the media for the removal of above-said impurities. It works on Surface Absorption Principle.

Iron Removal Filter is used to remove the iron from water. IRF Consists of Manganese Dioxide Layer which works as a catalyst in converting Ferrous to Ferric which can be easily precipitated and Filtered Physically.

GF is used as a Polishing filter where the outlet turbidity quality requirement is stringent. Garnet media is used for this purpose which has a higher porosity and higher dirt holding Capacity is achieved.

Filters can be of FRP, MSEP, MSRL Material of Construction

Softening is a widely used technology for reducing hardness forming ions (Ca & Mg) which precipitate and scale at very low temperatures and pressures. Softening is a reversible ion exchange process wherein the hardness forming ions are exchanged with sodium ions present in the resin group.

WE offers a wide range of softening plants with versatility in flow, flexibility in resin quantities and ease in operation. Thermax is one of the largest manufacturers of the strong acid cation resin used in this process..

Softeners can be of FRP, MSEP, MSRL Material of Construction

Softener Range :

  • 0.3 m3/ Hr to 20m3/hr and above

Membrane-based Water Treatment Technology

  • Replaces conventional pre-treatment.
  • The improved removal efficiency of SS, SDI, Viruses, Bacteria, Pathogens and other Micro-Organisms.
  • Increases RO membrane and plant life if used in pre-treatment.
  • Minimizes usage of pre-treatment chemicals, coagulants, and other filtration equipment
  • Wide-ranging applications in seawater pre-treatment to RO Feed, Bacteria removal, Brine Juice Clarification, Colloidal Silica removal, Pre-Treatment to Boiler Feed Water, Sewage Water, Waste Water, etc.
  • Standard module up to 80 m3/hr(skid mounted).

Clarifiers are the settling tanks used to separate solid particulates from liquids. Flocculation and Settling: In this stage, the Suspended matter in Colloidal form is removed. Small Suspended particles in the raw water are coagulated by using Polyelectrolyte and Coagulant at higher Ph. This is then passed through Tube settler where coagulated Suspended matter settles down and clear water flows up. Coagulated Suspended matter is taken out from Hopper Bottom of the Tube settler in the form of Thick Sludge. Clearwater is further treated in the Second Stage.
